(D/L) Beach Boys - "New Album"

"Hey, little tomboy! Climb into my van, I've got things that you can't tell your mom...." :-P

The Beach Boys disc known as the "New Album," despite its generic title (more on that in a second), is a lot of things - the proposed followup to "15 Big Ones", the first step on the road to the "M.I.U. Album", and a mystery, because no one knows what the title actually was. Brian may have just been telling an interviewer that the Beach Boys had a 'new album' on the way. Either way, the title stuck - as you can see from the picture, a bootleg edition with this title appeared in place of a commercial release.

Like "Adult Child", several of these tracks would disappear entirely, a couple would be revamped for later albums, and the three "Sunflower" outtakes that the Boys would just not let die ("Games Two Can Play", "HELP Is On The Way", and "When Girls Get Together") make their first post-Landlocked appearances. Making its first of several appearances is "Hey Little Tomboy" - and the version I found when reconstructing this album is truly bizarre, featuring not only the scrapped sexist chatter, but the pervy Beach Boys snorting like pigs! Your guess is as good as mine... (Thankfully, the 'snorts' may be a bootlegger's addition somewhere down the line, and not part of a genuine mix.)

The album's available here in 320 kbps:

The tracks:
01) My Diane [rough mix]
02) Marilyn Rovell
03) Hey Little Tomboy ['pig' mix - fake??]
04) Ruby Baby
05) You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling
06) Sherry She Needs Me
07) Come Go With Me [original version - different from MIU]
08) Mony Mony
09) On Broadway [repeated on 'Adult Child']
10) Sea Cruise
11) HELP Is On The Way [repeat from 'Landlocked']
12) Games Two Can Play [repeat from 'Sun Flower']
13) When Girls Get Together [repeat from 'Landlocked']

Enjoy!
